On behalf of the International Society for Diatom Research, the Czech Phycological Society and the Organizing Committee, it is my pleasure to invite you to the 28th International Diatom Symposium, which will take place in the beautiful city of Prague, Czech Republic, from 9–13 August 2027.

This symposium will bring together leading experts, researchers, practitioners and students from across all areas of diatom research, both freshwater and marine and the event will provide an excellent platform to share knowledge, discuss recent advances, and foster new collaborations.
